First Meeting

Yesterday was my first official meeting of the Beowulf Fleet.  Admiral Fenris called the meeting to clarify the rights and responsibilities of each of the officers.  Since I’m not one, I got to sit and space out.  Just kidding! I’m sure there will be a quiz later.

The meeting went well.  Admiral Fenris was able to answer everyone’s questions and I think everyone left the meeting with a better understanding of the role they each play in advancing the fleet.  I admire the way Wing Commanders Klitos, Av’ar and Maisioh Repeat and Commander Eamiae Lisse were so willing to follow the directives given.  I don’t think I could take orders so gracefully.

In explaining what permissions everyone has and why he bestowed some fancy sounding title on me.  I ignored the urge to go hide under the table in embarrassment and instead just started making odd jokes about the whole affair.  I’m almost certain I came off as foolish or ungrateful or both.  Nothing I can do now but pretend the whole thing never happened…. and hope everyone else plays along
