While MNETA itself is relatively young, it’s foundation was laid as far back as August 2007. Bahama joined a guild called Beowulf Squadron. It was there she became familiar with the workings of player associations and player cities. Beowulf Squadron and Journey’s End were her home for more than a year before both came to an abrupt end with the sudden departure of it’s leader and mayor.
Facing the prospect of having to find a new home and family, Bahama decided to pick up what was left of both the guild and the city and try to breathe new life into it. With the help of friends, she established the city of Moneta and the Commerce Union in October 2008. It wasn’t long before several members of Beowulf Squadron had joined her in this new adventure. |

As most guilds do, we experienced our own growing pains and in January 2009 one of the founding members chose to leave. The guild was restructured to reflect the goals of the current membership and the guild name was changed to reflect this rebirth. Moneta Community Network was born.
We’ve since grown and branched out from our piloting roots. Many knowledgeable veterans of SWG have joined us, offering their expertise across many areas of the game. |
