Our recruitment committee feels strongly that no one guild can be right for everyone.  There are many things to consider when determining if MNETA is a good fit with a potential member.  Some of the factors we look at are:

 

* Maturity  - Our guild is almost exclusively adults.  We’ve found that those younger than 15 find it more difficult to connect with our members.  Our ideal member will meet this age requirement and display a level of maturity expected in a group of adults.

 

* Goals  -  Our guild is goal oriented.  These goals change over time according to the demands of our current membership.  It sometimes happens that a person’s goals simply don’t align with what our guild is currently focused on.  Our ideal member has goals that correlate with what our group is currently focused on.

* Game Play Style - Your personal game play style encompasses everything you do and how you choose to do it.  It’s everything from whether you choose a combatant or crafter to whether you prefer to do missions solo or in a group.  It’s how you interact in guild chat, how you handle roleplay and how you see SWG in relation to your real life.  While being difficult to define specifically, this is often one of areas where our recruitment committee finds a mis-match between our guild and a potential member.  Our ideal member’s game play style correlates to the styles of our current members.

 

* Group Involvement -  We value participation, team spirit and a willingness to help.  Our ideal member will share those values.

 

The members of the recruitment committee all have extensive experience in SWG player associations.  I trust them implicitly to identify areas where a potential member may experience difficulty or disappointment down the road due to a mismatch. 

 

To date, in each case where it has been determined that someone is better suited to a different guild, that person has come back to tell us our recommendations were correct.  We make a point to always part ways on friendly terms with those willing to do so. Our record for maintaining an amiable relationship with so many of our ex-members speaks to this fact.
